For the second straight year we brought back our favorite Pew Pew character: Viggo Hubbard. A dozen multidisciplinary artists combined to transform an 1800s manor house into an absurdist examination of love in all its forms, featuring matchmaking bubbies, cheeky 60s era flight attendants, and a cotton-candy post office sending love letters to name a few.

At the height of its infamy, Vigo Hubbard’s vacation home served as the epicenter of debauched celebrations so decadent, so elaborate, so downright bizarre that even those who experienced them still question whether the wild tales of extraterrestrial invasions, cross-species marriages, and general licentiousness are rooted in truth or mere fantasy.

e.l.f. Cosmetics asked us to design an otherworldly environment without pushing guests too far out of their sense of normalcy. The result was surreal-yet-familiar, based on the era of Studio 54. A mixture of subtlety and a few intentional spectacle moments resulted in the same explosive energy of the infamous club for one ephemeral experience. Guests could interact with the God of Disco, join a soul train with the Dancing Queen, or choose their own adventure.
